Fixing Epson Stylus T10 Alternating LED Lights

Epson Stylus T10 with CISS, its long rest period will sure bring me some problems. Thanks to my long experience with the other two epson printers, I have clues of what to do next in case.

As I thought, the power button and the  red warning button are blinking in alternate passion. The ink system is stocked in maintenance mode. It may need a replacement, ink counter needs resetting or the ink waste pad needs resetting.

I searched and downloaded an ink wastepad resetter from the internet. Resetted the ink wastepad counter and the alternate blinking was gone. Turned the printer on and off and was able to print a dirty patchy document. The printer exhibited unwanted cracking sound that eventually ceased after few runs.

The next is the print head cleaning. The long period of inactivity has rendered the printer head dry. It sure needs a calm head to bring it back to good working performance. I did a repeated head cleaning and print test pages for every five minutes for the rest of the day. It was about six hours of patience. I was was able to print a black only document clean the next next.

It still needs more cleaning because some colors never appear on printout. I hope the remaining clogs will eventually gone with continuous use.

  1. You actually make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this topic to be really something that I think I would never understand.
It seems too complicated and very broad for me.
I am looking forward for your next post, I wil try to get
    the hang of it!
